Literary Contest
The Literary Contest is a short story writing contest for all Wake County high school students sponsored by the Raleigh Fine Arts Society.
Each entry is read by two preliminary judges, which then finalists are chosen. This year's final judges will be Dr. Tom Lisk, Dr. Lucinda Mackethan and Ms. June Spence.
All winners, their English teachers, and one other person chosen by each winner, will be invited guests on April 10, 2008 to the Award Reception and Ceremony, preceded by a Writers Workshop where the final judges will evaluate award-winning manuscripts. This Ceremony will take place at Fletcher Hall in the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts. |
