Step By Step Instructions:
1. Once you click on the above link, you will get to this page for login and password:
Enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD which was emailed to you by your school rep. If you have not received this information, please contact us immediately by email to literarycontest@raleighfinearts.org. Please remember that usernames and passwords are CASE SENSITIVE and thus if a character is uppercase or lowercase please input exactly as is.
2. The next screen, the Literary Contest Homepage, looks like this:
Here is where you will need to move your cursor (mouse) to the upper task bar (tan in color) to the Teacher’s Task area. This will automatically start a drop-down list. Click on the word “Overview” to go to the next screen.
3. This will bring you to the Document Page. Here is where you will find the list of stories submitted by your students. The screen will look like this:
Under the Status column, you will see the current status of a particular story that has been submitted. A story is either “Waiting for Teacher Approval”, or “Approved by Teacher”. Your job here is to either accept a story or reject it. The download button allows you to open the story and read it on your computer or save it your own hard drive to keep for later review. Once you click either the Approve or Disapprove button, you will be asked if you are sure. You can either confirm or cancel your decision. YOU CAN GO BACK AND CHANGE YOUR MIND! Once you have clicked either Approve or Disapprove, you will see a change in the “status”; however, if you have made a mistake, you can go back and click all over again to the status you want. You cannot, however, get the document to read “waiting for teacher approval” again.
Please note: When a student submits a story to RFAS, you will NOT be notified. It is up to you to periodically check your “queue” for submitted stories. RFAS will also be reminding you prior to the submission deadline.
